Wendy generously offered a workshop on preparing healthy midweek meals for parents of Wonders Child Care.  The Sunday afternoon workshop started out with sharing of stories ranging from how to get out of the rut of cooking the same things to juggling schedules and dinner time.  Throughout the discussion, Wendy offered non-judgmental advice for healthy short cuts and practical tips to creating delicious meals that don't require lots of time. Wendy showed us a variety of books that she has found to be great resources - from colorful children's books that teach about different types of foods to books written for parents who want to learn more about introducing healthy foods to their families. Wendy's recipes and cooking demonstrations were easy to follow and packed with nutrition.  We all left this hands-on workshop with new menu ideas, recipes and a sense of confidence that healthy eating with your children can be accomplished.

Wendy has inspired both my family and me to eat healthier.  For one of my birthday parties, Wendy taught a group of my friends and me how to cook an authentic Indian meal.  Not only did she teach us basic cooking skills and techniques as we cooked, she really took the time to explain each ingredient's role in the dish, as well as the meal's nutritional value.  In both her cooking and instruction, Wendy has found a middle ground between healthy eating and great flavor and taste; she is a great coach!                       - Kira K.

Over the years, Wendy has taught my family (including my kids) so much about cooking and eating healthy food.  She is a master at finding healthy ingredients and exploring healthy alternative approaches to favorite recipes while not compromising on taste. I like to cook but don't have a lot of time to spend and Wendy strikes the balance with practical recipes that taste wonderful.
